OUR PROCESS
At Kenana Knitters, we care about or community and our environment. All products are made from carefully selected organic, natural fibres.
All our products are made using natural dyes found in the local area, and where not possible are GOTS certified, AZO and Cadmium Free, and ecofriendly.
All the products are washed at the workshop, to ensure that all the dyes are fully fixed and that our products will not shrink. Meaning we are able to deliver the highest quality finished product to you and your babies.
Local Natural Fibres
We know what is important to you, and we make sure that we source all our fibres from sustainable, responsible sources that support our local economy and take care of our environment.
All our wool is 100% Kenyan, organic and from our local region. We are lucky to have access to beautiful local fibres, and are able to support over 200 spinners and the farmers that they buy from.
Our Cotton is 100%, certified organic and sourced from a socially responsible farm in Tanzania. They have strict social and ethical standards, and produce cotton to the highest environmental standards and are SA 8000: 2008 accredited, Oeko Tex, GOTS and OCS Certified.
