At Kenana Knitters, our ultimate goal is to support our knitters with a sustainable income. As such, the below are our terms of purchase for all wholesale items.

Pricing Information

• The prices listed in our 2020 catalogues are final and non-negotiable.

• Products, once sold, are non-refundable.

• Our wholesale export prices do not include VAT. These prices are given on the assumption that we can get full proof of export, as such we deliver the products directly to a recognised exporter.

• If we are unable to get full proof of export at the point of delivery to a Kenyan address, then the customer will be subject to paying VAT for all products. This will be decided before the products leave the workshop.

 

Payment Information:

• Our preferred method of payment is via bank transfer or M-Pesa. Other methods can be considered by Kenana Knitters, should the customer require.

• All bank charges and exchange rates are the responsibility of the customer. Kenana Knitters should receive full invoiced amounts.

 

Ordering Information

• We advise all customers to allow for a 12-week lead time on all orders. Typically, it will take around 8 weeks, but to avoid disappointment, please allow for 12 weeks.

• Larger orders are subject to a 50% deposit prior to production, with full payment on delivery.

• On all other orders, we require full payment prior to dispatch from the workshop.

• While we do not have a minimum order level, we ask that customers aim for a minimum of 5pc per product to continue with our wholesale pricing.

 

Shipping Information

• The costs are borne by the customer (including duties, fines and fees once the goods have left our workshop).

• Payment is required before shipping.

• For small orders, under 30kg, we usually ship via DHL, depending on the customer's preference. This is a door-to-door service. There are no customs declaration forms when this method is used. Shipments over 100kg are eligible for further discounts.

• For orders exceeding 30kg, we recommend air freight and commonly use Tepra Logistics. Typically, shipments delivered through freight companies will be accompanied by the necessary customs declaration forms. You must have your own clearing agent and be prepared for the customs fees and internal freight from your local port, as we will organise delivery to your closest port.

• Customers are free to use the shipper of their choice if not comfortable with the options suggested by Kenana Knitters, but should be able to provide full proof of export to avoid incurring VAT charges.
